Mary and Renaud had a beautiful Intimate Wicklow Wedding in Tinakilly House in June. It being Ireland, you can bet it rained! And rained and rained. But that didn’t stop this wonderful couple who were so sweet and enthusiastic throughout the whole day! They celebrated their special day with 40 of their nearest and dearest, so much thought had been put into the special touches like flowers and table settings, it was so simple yet beautiful and really made this a one of the most charming weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.

Imagine my excitement when I saw that Mary had flower petals for confetti for when they left the church, my official new favourite thing is confetti exits! More of this please.

There was a great sense of hustle and bustle and excitement that morning, while Mary was getting ready the bridesmaids started doing their hair and make up downstairs, everyone was milling around and helping themselves to some breakfast and chatting and laughing.

Mary got ready upstairs away from the hustle and bustle with Renaud’s sister who was also the make up artist, I think its safe to say she did a fantastic job!

I love the morning of weddings with everyone getting ready, space is tight and things go missing and are found again, people come and go, theres always someone looking for something, its brilliant! Pure excitement and giddiness.

Mary was presented with this gorgeous handkerchief with the little monogrammed M…love it!

Melanie of Fussy Peacock was responsible for the absolutely stunning flowers! I was totally in love with these, the colours, the greens, they were beyond perfect and suited Mary to a tee!

The guests gathered at the church and once again it was a melee of excitement and fun, the rain had started to drizzle at this point but this didn’t stop everyone enjoyment and excitement.

Watch out for those high heels with the grating!

Ok, the moment I’d been waiting for, how utterly gorgeous are confetti exits? This is something I honestly don’t think we see enough of in Ireland and it really is something special and photographs wonderfully. If this is something your interested in, or even trying something similar check out my blog here on Wedding Exit Ideas!

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, its Ireland, it rains, A LOT. We were unable to get outside for most of the day due to the rain which didn’t let up. Fortunately Tinakilly is such a stunning venue they have loads of little spots inside that make for beautiful photos. But please, when researching photographers or booking them make sure they have an extensive portfolio of how they deal with things like this.

Mary and Renaud were an absolute dream to work with and I had such a wonderful time photographing their wedding and being part of their big day. Tinakilly House was a picture perfect setting for this lovely Intimate Wicklow Wedding.
