2017 seems a million years ago now that were well into February 2018. But since I’ve just finished up the editing of my last 2017 wedding I thought it was be a good idea to look back at all the amazing weddings from 2017. It was great year for me with the amazing weddings I got to photograph and the even more amazing couples I got to meet and work with. A huge thank you to each and every person I got to work with last year, its because of you that I get to keep doing a job I love. I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings!
For me, last year was so rewarding, I got to fulfil some major life goals, such as photographing an Autumn Barn wedding in Tennessee to photographing happy couples surrounded by the wild rolling mountains of Ireland. I was most definitely in my element this year and it felt incredibly good.
On the personal side, 2017 started a bit shakily. My little cat of 18 years died (crazy cat lady here) as well as minor car incidents for both me and Niall. But with the good comes the bad, every slimy cloud has a silver lining. I also turned 30 and Niall proposed to me on my birthday in the Monart Hotel (thank me later)! We got to fulfil a life goal of mine and visited Salem for Halloween, and Niall accompanied me to the Tennessee wedding and stuck by me in sweltering heat while I threw lenses and instructions at him!
Doing Ireland Wedding Photography and being self employed isn’t always easy, however I do find it incredibly fulfilling and genuinely love doing what I do. I so excited for 2018 and to capture more amazing weddings, so roll on the new year!
