Katie & Niall | Cliff Townhouse Wedding

Relaxed Dublin City Ireland Wedding Among the streets of Dublin and next to the National Library of Ireland, No. 6 Kildare is a dream for any Dublin wedding photographer! Home to an eclectic collection of artifacts and antiques that reflect the history of its illustrious medical past and antiquity of the College, the main rooms of the building remain as they were in 1864, when the building first opened. Katie and Niall’s ceremony took place at No. 6, also known as the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Their wedding day celebrations continued at the Cliff Townhouse in Dublin. They wanted a relaxed and intimate wedding surrounded by family and friends, and that’s exactly what they got.

Jenny & Eddie – Dublin City Hall Wedding | Dublin Wedding Photographer

Glamorous Wedding in Dublin City! I introduced you to Jenny and Eddie on the blog last month after their gorgeous engagement session at Howth Cliffs. They braved the scramble with me and stood on cliff edges as I snuck some amazing shots. These photos were epic and if you haven’t already seen them, I suggest you take a peek! We hit it off like a house on fire and I instantly bonded with these two bubbly characters. As mentioned, they were married in Dublin City Hall a few months later. This location is fast becoming one of my most favourite places to photograph as a Dublin wedding photographer in City Centre. It is such a beautiful historic building that’s so unique and transforms into a gorgeous venue for ceremonies. Not to mention the fact that it has some seriously amazing lighting going on, which makes it a dream to do couples portraits in!

Howth Cliffs Engagement Session

landscape engagement portrait by Kathy Silke photography

Howth Cliffs | Engagement Photography Jenny and Eddie scheduled their engagement shoot to be at Howth Cliffs in Dublin. If you haven’t heard about it, Howth Cliffs is a pretty epic setting and right up my alley! This was the first time I met Jenny and Eddie, and right away I knew I was going to be in for a great time. They were both so bubbly, warm, and welcoming and before I knew it we had whiled away an hour chatting over drinks and nearly missed the sunset that we were aiming to photograph!

Festive Winter Wedding at Brooklodge and Macreddan Village Naomi and Darach were married just after Christmas and celebrated at Brooklodge and Macreddan Village. Their gorgeous day was filled with pops of color and there is a fun little story too! Naomi got ready at her mums house before saying “I Do” at their local church in Harolds Cross. Afterwards we traveled on to the Wicklow Mountains for the celebration at Brooklodge. I love that Naomi chose festive colors for her day, starting with burgundy wedding shoes, and a beautiful bouquet with navy blue thistles, red hanging amaranthus, and lush green fillers!

Kilronan Castle | Dublin Wedding Photographer

New married couple walks away from Kilronan Castle in Roscommon Ireland

Kilronan Castle | Dublin Wedding Photographer   As a Dublin Wedding Photographer it’s not uncommon for me to travel to the countryside, or Ireland’s Wild West to photograph a wedding. There is nothing quite like an Authentic Irish Castle wedding, and Anna and Peter’s stunning wedding at Kilronan Castle in Roscommon is a perfect example! Peter and Anna tied the knot at Anna’s local church, then we went on to do portraits, and more importantly, celebrate at the Kilronan Castle, which can I just say, is a very impressive backdrop for any celebration! While the weather started strong, I knew that it being Ireland we could be in for an unpredictable day. True enough, once the church ceremony ended, the heavens opened up and we had to make a hasty retreat to the castle! This was my first time at  Kilronan Castle and it did not disappoint. Arriving at this castle was a breath of fresh air and definitely a highlight for me! From it’s sprawling lush grounds to it’s medieval inspired interiors, I was in love right away and I could totally see why Anna and Peter chose to celebrate there marriage there. It’s a true Irish castle that captured…
