Naomi and Darach | Brooklodge and Macreddan Village Wedding

Festive Winter Wedding at Brooklodge and Macreddan Village

Naomi and Darach were married just after Christmas and celebrated at Brooklodge and Macreddan Village. Their gorgeous day was filled with pops of color and there is a fun little story too!

Naomi got ready at her mums house before saying “I Do” at their local church in Harolds Cross. Afterwards we traveled on to the Wicklow Mountains for the celebration at Brooklodge.

I love that Naomi chose festive colors for her day, starting with burgundy wedding shoes, and a beautiful bouquet with navy blue thistles, red hanging amaranthus, and lush green fillers!

Funny story, after Naomi booked with me we both found out we have friends in common! Naomi’s sister is friends with one of my oldest friends from school, Ireland is such a small world!

Brooklodge and Macreddan Village is a boutique venue renowned for its picturesque setting and exquisite food. It’s a stunning venue buried in the Wicklow Mountains, so much so, that on my first journey there I nearly didn’t make it on the snowy narrow country roads!

Thankfully come the wedding day the weather evened out and the bride and groom and guests made it without incident.

Naomi and Darach have been going there for years and when it came time to choose their wedding venue they couldn’t think of anywhere else they’d rather be!

I loved working with Naomi and Darach so much! I couldn’t have felt more at home or welcomed by Naomi and Darach and all of their families, and it was such a great day from start to finish.

Naomi was such fun and even gave me great advice for planning my own wedding! Naomi and Darach – Thank you for allowing me to share in your incredible day, it was an honour.

A few kind words from Naomi and Darach:

“I can’t say enough good words about Kathy, from the very first email we exchanged to the wedding day she has been nothing short of amazing, friendly and so professional. Kathy was the perfect fit for myself and Darach and she created gorgeous wedding photos that really captured the day. She is an absolute dream to work with and will go above and beyond to make sure everyone is looking their best for the camera, she guides you in the right direction and gave me advice on which photos I definitely needed to take. She created a great balance between the posed photos and natural photos. It’s amazing to look back and see so many little moments that she captured when I wasn’t even aware she was taking them. Kathy made the whole process seem so seamless and was always so quick to respond to any queries or ideas, anything you need she was only a quick email away. I can’t recommend Kathy enough and I’m so thankful that she was our wedding photographer!”
