Relaxed Dublin City Ireland Wedding
Among the streets of Dublin and next to the National Library of Ireland, No. 6 Kildare is a dream for any Dublin wedding photographer! Home to an eclectic collection of artifacts and antiques that reflect the history of its illustrious medical past and antiquity of the College, the main rooms of the building remain as they were in 1864, when the building first opened.
Katie and Niall’s ceremony took place at No. 6, also known as the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Their wedding day celebrations continued at the Cliff Townhouse in Dublin. They wanted a relaxed and intimate wedding surrounded by family and friends, and that’s exactly what they got.
I’ve worked with a lot of brides during my time as a photographer, but Katie was definitely one of the most calm and collected throughout the day. She got ready with minimal fuss with her sister and parents, then walked down the road with her dad to tie the knot at No. 6.
If you’ve never been to No. 6, let me tell you, this venue is wildly unique and so special. The ceremony took place in their old library, which radiates old world charm and takes you back to another time with its elegance and style.
Katie and Niall had a humanist ceremony which was incredibly touching and beautifully done. After the ceremony, the newlyweds walked out of the door to be showered with confetti by their guests.
I. LOVE. CONFETTI.
Dear future brides, can you please do your Dublin wedding photographer a favor and use more confetti? 😉
The bride and groom then enjoyed a relaxed walk back to Cliff Townhouse with their guests following behind them.
Cliff Townhouse is a luxury guesthouse located in the heart of Dublin city centre and was the perfect setting for this relaxed and elegant wedding. The dining room was just stunning with wispy greens, white hydrangeas, white roses, and white tulips.
Tiny clogs were the favors and their beautiful cake took center stage.
After mingling for a bit with the guests, this Dublin wedding photographer whisked Katie and Niall off for a few bridal portrait photos in Stephens Green Park. To complete the day, we channeled our inner royalty and took family portrait on the balcony!
