It’s no secret that one of my favourite places for engagement shoots is Lough Tay and the surrounding Dublin and Wicklow mountains. The rolling hills, the light and the incredibly scenery make it such a unique backdrop. You can be on top of a mountain one second and down in a valley beside a stream the next.

Chris and Shauna got one of those perfect golden light filled evenings. I love being able to photograph such lovely couples in such beautiful places. We started off in front of the eponymous Lough Tay which was looking magnificent during golden hour. After that we took a two minute spin up the road where we found a lovely little wood complete with some roaming sheep. Its far away enough from the main lake that its a bit quieter and your less likely to have tourists photobombing you!

I honestly can’t wait for the weather to warm up a bit so I can get back to doing some beautiful sun kissed couples shoots up in my favourite spots in the Wicklow Mountains.
