On a brisk summer evening I made the 3 hour drive to the Cliffs of Moher to meet Tina, who had come all the way from Alabama to visit Ireland to see some of our sights! Its a continually great part of my job that I A) get to visit such beautiful places and call them my office for the day and B) get to meet such incredibly lovely and sweet people while doing it! Tina was an absolute peach, she’s a wedding photographer too so we had loads to talk about. It was a great couple of hours and we had a ball!
Tina definitely brought the sun with her, she really wanted some beautiful sunset photos, however I knew that the chances of sun, let alone a sunset were slim at best, but we were pleasantly surprised with a beautiful golden hour, quickly followed by some looming clouds!
So, I’ll admit it, I’m the worst Irish person ever! Its taken me 30 years, 30 YEARS, to finally visit one of Irelands biggest sights, the Cliffs of Moher. I was not disappointed though! I think I’ve kind of fallen in love with them and already I’m itching to do more shoots here.
Miss. Tina, who claims she is not a model totally nailed it! Every single one of my clients say the same thing to me, they’re not used to being in front of the camera (who is?) and that they’ll be awkward (who isn’t?). This is all 100% ok and normal! Trust me, sure it might start a bit awkward, even uncomfortable, but after awhile you’ll loosen up and feel a bit more natal and comfortable. With Tina we walked, we chatted, we laughed and joked and stopped every so often for some photos, still laughing, talking and joking!
I had such a great time meeting and hanging out with Tina, hopefully we’ll meet again in Tennessee when I visit there later this year for my first American wedding but it was wonderful to make a new friend, one of my favourite parts of my job!
